The Isafjordur skiing area is situated on the slopes of the two valleys of Tungudalur and Seljalandsdalur, both approx. 5 kms way from the centre of Isafjordur. In Tungudalur you find the ski lifts and while Seljalandsdalur is for the cross-conutry skiers. 

The Isafjordur skiing area is is the main skiing area in this part of the country, the West Fjords, and a true paradise for all skiing enthusiasts, offering slopes which suit beginners, families as well as experienced skiers or snowboarders. In the evening the slopes are lit up. There are 3 lifts, 350 m, 900m and 960 m long, altogether with a transport capacity of 2500 people per hour. 

In Tungudalur you also find the lodge with its service centre. The cafeteria offers various refreshments but you may bring your own food if you prefer. The lodge also offers accomodation.  

The cross-country skiing area is situated in Seljalandsdalur. Tracks, 2,5, 3,5 og 5 km, are made weather permitting, and there is a lit up 5 km section. There is also a small hut offering facilities to sit down and enjoy a snack, chat or just rest. There are no refreshments for sale in the hut.
